No pictures yet again...

Man, I am really bad at keeping up this blog nonsense! And again, I'm at the library and they are very strict and I can't post any photos, grrrr...
However, all is going well here and I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive! Work is going well, although I am starting to dream about hotels and sleeping in a bed and I crave showers the way I usually crave chocolate hazlenut truffles...
I saw/heard my first horned lark yesterday! It was very exciting to step out of the car at 3 in the afternoon in 100 degree heat and hear that beautiful song. And I got to see a Bell's vireo feeding young (which is quite the event b/c after 3 months of trying I've never been able to see them, even when I hear them singing right over me!), among many other happy families on the move here in southern Nevada.
Hopefully I can put some photos up soon, there are some incredible lunar-like landscapes here that I would love everyone to see (even if my pics won't do them justice!). If anyone passes through here on their way to somewhere else (like Vegas) then I suggest checking out Gold Butte in the southeast, just south of I-15. The roads are rough, but the area is really beautiful!
Also, I just saw "What Happens in Vegas" at the movies and I think it is hilarious! I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a little summer escapism!
