Return to Fort Collins
Hi everybody! I have flown back to Fort Collins for my first 4-day break from work and it is C-O-L-D! Just checked weather underground and the temp is 33 degrees. Its snowing and starting to accumulate outside, quite the change from 95 degrees in Yuma last week! But it is wonderful to be back and hanging out with Craig again.
Big news- yesterday he accepted a job with Hayden-Wing Environmental Consultants, so he will be starting work on Tuesday. They are based out of Laramie, so it's pretty close by and he will be doing a variety of work in the region. This might provide a few challenges for coordinating our schedules, which is why I bought my plane ticket back at the last moment. It seemed wise to take advantage of both of us having the time off since we're not too sure yet how Craig's schedule will look over the summer.
We have just discovered a wonderful new coffee shop in Fort Collins- The Wild Boar. Very spacious and homey-feeling in a historic building (Craig says the men's bathroom has a newspaper clipping from the 1920s in it) with yummy paninis to boot! Will try to post some more photos soon.
I regret not having my camera at work the last couple days because I missed out on some cool photos/videos of Gina and I tunneling through some 2 meter high cattails. Felt like a vole! But there will probably be more of that to come!
Craig's new haircut!

Craig! Your hair!!! What the hell???
. . . . it looks nice. That was just the shock talking. :P
A-
Sorry I didn't get to my phone when you called me back. Then my battery died after I listened to the voicemail. :( If it makes you feel better, my experiment was an utter failure. Karma, I suppose. Though it was expected. :P
love, D
Aw, D I'm sorry to hear about your experiment. Please don't get sucked into the world of scary cut-throat academia. I don't want to have to hold an intervention! Love you!!-a
Craig went corporate with that haircut. I won't say that I'm disappointed but I won't say that I'm not.
interesting to note that he's also working for an environmental consulting firm employed by many oil and gas companies....maybe there will have to be an intervention of another sort...
I think you are all crazy. I'll never go corporate and I loathe the bastards. I'll have you note that my financial adviser really likes my haircut.
